Somewhere a small seed found a place to start under my porch.  There was not much sunshine in this area and a lot of water from the roof overflow.  Somehow it germinated and against all odds made its way via a vine stalk up through a 3/8 inch crack in the porch boards.  Then it sprouted leaves and began growing in the short as it was Vermont growing season.  Before the fall frost hit it , with its leaves tattered and ripped, created a seed pod.  The pod was in the open not trapped under the porch.  A parent with a tough start had delivered its child to a better world.

Little Plant, Vine, I salute you.
