This is a 3 turn horizontal velador study
using a workbench for a table with the Wheel on top of the table, down in the
basement, where the temperature and humidity are more constant than other areas
in the house, and muffleling any curse words or loud shouting if the need arose.
Taking the place of a hermetically sealed vacuum chamber with rigid
environmental control and shielded from atmospheric charge. Temperature
was 58.2 F. The bar was 2 meters. The camera worked to perfection and I
salute it as it was having starting problems, cause not known. This was for my
curosity steming from CMEdwards trial 8 data finding minimal motion of the light
spot. The way I see the Velador working is that if the motion is directly
ahead or directly behind the camera / laser axis no motion will be
detectable. Also if the motion is at a straight up or down direction from
the camera no motion will be found as the motion affects the spot the same all
the way around in turning. ie say straight up the effect will be the same for
all pictures and thus not be measurable.
As an obsrvation when the black center of the spot is small
and the pattern is tight, in general little motion is found. These groups of
spots have the most consistently small spots I have noted.
Previously I can not recall
finding so small of changes to the data. Especially comparing opposite
directions. The motion seems to have gone or minimized to a considerable degree.
I asssembled the setup just as I always have, taking it from a long term study
stationary and mounting it on the turntable. No new changes were made.
I am postulating that the upcoming
Summer Solstice has something to do with this effect. As the earth's North
pole is now pointing more directly to the sun and at my lattitude is very near
vertical, not quite as the lattitude is 45 degrees North. This in
conjunction with the galactic velocity (not easily found with a horizontal setup
but more so with a vertical setup) is hiding the normal velocity. I believe when
the solstice is past things will get back to normal findings.
Since I am doing "hand analysis"
of the points I believe my lowest sensitivity is probably about 2.5 pixels
either way. And that is a lot and I wished I could get CMEdwards Qbasic program
to work for me but I can not. And I wish I had his automaticitity for taking
pictures, and on and on.......
Actual Data Photos
I have
uploaded most of the 6-11-2007 photos to the gallery section. Just go to the
gallery page and you will see 3 topics, Choose the 6-11-2007 to see the
pictrures. I t is amazing to me that the photos all look about the same. Even
the dust spots on the imqages show at avbut the same part of the images from one
to the next. I am trying to think of what I could hae done to get these this way
and the technique is the same. So is there indeed little motion now that can be
detected with a horizontal rotation setup? I just do not know.
Suppose from now on all the photos show the same image. Then I have always said
if anyone can do that then light does pick up lateral velocity, but I still
think not.

Datain chart form measuring the
center of the laser spot.
The first colums
represents the position the camera was in with the laser in the opposite
direction.
North = the camera is in the north and
laser in the south.
The second column is the picture
number where some were from the long term study and several blank shots used as
markers. These pictures are not shown
Thus some picture
numbers are missing.
Then comes the X values followed
by the Y values.
